DoD Lodging is available at many locations through the Defense Lodging System offered by TDY Lodging.  MacDill AFB has a lot of temporary housing options for Soldiers and Airmen traveling to the Air Force Base in Tampa.  Hotels and furnished condos or apartments may be the most convenient housing option for travelers interested in being close to the base, while allowing them to be in close proximity to downtown Tampa activities and nightlife.  The Air Force Inn at MacDill is an option for military and retired military, but many travelers may choose to stay in Tampa in off base housing. 

Corporate Housing providers in Tampa offer the same amenities as the base lodging facilities, but in many cases offer proximity to local restaurants, activities in the Tampa area, and in many cases hotel rewards points can be accrued for future travel.  The national corporate housing provider TDY Lodging recently added thousands of rooms to their Tampa Corporate Housing inventory through new furnished lodging providers including Marriott ExecuStay, among other well known hotels.

Corporate Relocation and House Rentals

The recent acquisition of Corporate House Rentals was able to offer a large number of furnished accommodations to the inventory featured by TDY Lodging in their DoD Lodging reservation system. 

The company had previously offered furnished accommodations at many locations throughout the U.S. for corporate relocation and insurance housing.  Corporate House Rentals' inventory and listed properties, which included furnished apartments, houses, and condos at highly trafficked locations like San Diego, Washington DC, and Tampa created a boost for the Defense Lodging system and offered immediate property availability for corporate and government travelers. 

The Corporate House Rentals website is now fully integrated into the Corporate Lodging reservation portal managed by TDY Lodging.

Defense Lodging System Launches New Portal

The Defense Lodging System has launched a new Defense Lodging portal managed by TDY Lodging, the largest commercial provider of Military Hotels and furnished accommodations for government travelers operating under the GSA Federal Travel Schedule. 

Since 2001, TDY Lodging has been a GSA veteran owned housing provider for the Department of Defense, and their newly unveiled reservation portal offers over one hundred locations near every military installation within the U.S. and Europe as well as other remote locations including Guam housing solutions for other government travel within U.S. Territories within the TDY Lodging Rate.

The DoD Lodging reservation system offers hotels and fully furnished apartments and TDY House Rentals for travelers on government travel.

Government and Military Housing portal TDY Lodging acquires BaseLodging.com

In its second acquisition this year, Real Estate portal TDYLodging.com acquires Base Lodging, a portal for Military Housing, and Furnished Housing.

Washington DC, July 21, 2010, 8am ET  --  TDY Lodging (Washington DC), announced its second acquisition of the year.  TDY Lodging which primarily serves Fort Huachuca, MacDill Air Force Base, Naval Air Station San Diego, and Washington DC will expand its reach to target even more areas where government and military lodging is needed.
