MacDill AFB has a lot of temporary housing options for Soldiers and Airmen traveling to the Air Force Base in Tampa. Hotels and furnished condos or apartments may be the most convenient housing option for travelers interested in being close to the base, while allowing them to be in close proximity to downtown Tampa activities and nightlife. The Air Force Inn at MacDill is an option for military and retired military, but many travelers may choose to stay in Tampa in off base housing.
